Research Background
Zonulin pathway antagonism. Zonulin is the only known physiological modulator of intercellular tight junctions in the small intestine. Larazotide was specifically designed to antagonise zonulin-mediated tight junction disassembly, preserving barrier function in the epithelial monolayer.
