GHRP-6 10 mg | Growth Hormone & Appetite Research Peptide
GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide (His-D-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH₂) and one of the original growth hormone secretagogues. It acts on the GHS-R1a receptor to stimulate pulsatile GH release while also producing a pronounced ghrelin-mimetic appetite response, making it a dual-purpose tool for GH-axis and feeding behaviour research.
Research Background
GH secretion — GHRP-6 stimulates potent, dose-dependent GH release. Unlike Ipamorelin, it also elevates cortisol, prolactin, and ACTH, making it useful for studying the full GHS-R activation profile.
Appetite and ghrelin pathways — GHRP-6 produces the strongest orexigenic (appetite-stimulating) response of the GHRP class, useful in feeding behaviour, energy intake, and ghrelin signalling research.
Cytoprotective effects — Some preclinical studies report gastric and cardiac cytoprotective properties independent of GH release, suggesting additional biological activity through the ghrelin system.
