CJC-1295 with DAC 5 mg – Long-Acting GHRH Analogue
CJC-1295 with DAC is the same modified GRF (1-29) peptide as standard CJC-1295, but with the addition of a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) – a reactive chemical moiety that forms a covalent bond with serum albumin after administration.
This albumin conjugation creates a circulating reservoir of the peptide, extending its functional half-life from approximately 30 minutes (no DAC) to 6-8 days.
Research Background
Sustained GH elevation – Unlike the pulsatile GH release produced by CJC-1295 without DAC, the DAC version produces sustained, continuous GH elevation over several days.
This creates a fundamentally different pharmacokinetic profile useful for studying chronic vs pulsatile GH stimulation.
DAC vs no DAC – The choice between versions depends on research objectives. No-DAC (standard CJC-1295) preserves natural pulsatile GH secretion and is preferred for physiological GH-axis studies.
The DAC version is useful for studying the effects of sustained GH elevation, continuous GHRH receptor activation, and pharmacokinetic albumin-binding models.
IGF-1 research – Sustained GH elevation from CJC-1295 DAC produces corresponding sustained IGF-1 elevation, making it a tool for studying chronic IGF-1 pathway activation.
